One of the first things a new parent is asked, is who the littlest one looks like. We go back and forth with Karson, but for the most part, he looks just like my Dad. He has my lips, he has DJ's shape head, and he looks a lot like my Dad.
Although, he is a lot like his Mommy! We share a tendency to keep things organized, and in their place. We don't like to have dirty hands. We love the beach, and we love smores!
Saturday night, we went to our old neighbor's house to visit, and let the kids play. We made dinner over the fire, and had smores. Karson has never had one before. I put on his bib, but him in his camp chair, and handed him Mommy's favorite summer/camping treat!!
He wasn't sure what to do with it, for the longest time he just stared at it.
It started falling apart, and he was getting dirty hands.
We ended up breaking it in half, to make it a little easier for him.
He quickly figured out that Mommy was not kidding, about getting a special treat after dinner!!
...and the blue chair is sitting outside to dry, after getting all the sticky smore hosed off of it.
Our second love....the beach!
DJ's parents our camping for the week. We were planning on going out to their campsite for dinner Sunday night. It happened to be at my favorite beach, the one Karson has been to many times already this summer. I told DJ if we were going to be that close to the beach, it was necessary to spend a few hours playing.
He agreed!!
There is not much better than an afternoon on a Michigan beach.
We found Auntie Leesh at the beach, too!
She shares our love for the beach, too!
Of course....we both love Daddy too!
