Our Week...In Cell Phone Pictures
Karson woke up from his super long nap on Easter with a 103.3 fever. He has a nasty viral infection, and a mouth full of blisters. Plus, he is cutting his 2 top teeth. He has been miserable!! We spent the entire week in the rocking chair, while he snuggled in, going to town on his paci & clutched to his blanket. He watched movies on my computer, while I kept up with the Royal Wedding buzz. Many people are sick of it. I love it! And for the record I have not been able to stop singing the theme song to Signing Time. If you hear me mumbling 'its singing time with Alex and Leah...Its signing time with Alex and Leah...' ignore! Please!
This is how Karson spent the majority of his Easter.
Monday morning. One of the rare moments on Monday he wasn't either screaming, or sleeping. Probably because I was letting him play with a thermometer. Mother of the year...
He cried and cried 'num num num' and signed 'eat.' That is, when he wasn't crying or sleeping. He wanted so badly to eat, but every time he put food in his mouth, he took it back out. Smoothies did the trick, and he drank a lot of them!
Our best friends this week...blankie and paci!
But, even when your sick, there is still time for loving on the dog. Who was sleeping, before Karson decided he needed to snuggle with her, while Mommy made him a smoothie.

ReplyDeletei recently got one of those forehead scanner thermometer doohickys from costco. it was kinda expensive ($30) but when i saw that two of the local emergency rooms actually use those i knew they had to be accurate! best 30 bucks i've spent in a long time!
